Any purchase made, either via the online store or within the Milton-based retail shop, binds you as a client and McKims Jewellery Design as a manufacturer in an agreement under the Australian Consumer Legislation Law.
All terms inclusive of ‘we,’ ‘our,’ ‘us,’ ‘I,’ and ‘my’ refer to the registered business of McKims Jewellery Design and the jeweller Craig McKim; and all terms inclusive of ‘you,’ ‘your,’ and ‘yourself’ refer to you as the client, buyer, or website visitor/user.
Disclaimer – Product
All jewellery pieces are finished to a high-quality standard and will be described as accurately as possible on the McKims Jewellery Design website. Due to the nature of the handmade process, it is important to note that some variations may occur, inclusive of but not limited to, widths, thicknesses, finishes, and gemstone colouring.
Pricing
McKims Jewellery Design reserves the right to alter, change, remove, and/or add to any jewellery piece listed on the online store or within the Milton-based retail shop. This may include introducing new products, changing the price of goods, and/or commencing or ending product promotions.
Copyright
All content that appears on the McKims Jewellery Design website, within the Milton-based retail store, and/or on social media is subject to copyright laws and protections. This includes all text, images, logos, and themes, and is copyrighted as a collective body of work under the Australian Copyright Laws.
Returns/Refunds
Under the Australian Consumer Legislation Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund should the jewellery piece have a manufacturing fault. In any given situation, we will assess the jewellery piece, determine the condition, and offer an achievable solution to gain the best possible outcome for both yourself as a client and McKims Jewellery Design as a registered business.
Exchanges/Cancellations
- Exchanges: 30-day exchange period for situations where the jewellery item is a gift and is in its original condition, original box, and shows no signs of wear or damage. This policy excludes change of mind and custom-made jewellery pieces.
- Cancellations: For custom-made pieces, cancellations will result in the forfeiture of your deposit to cover losses incurred (e.g., purchase of materials or labour expenses).
Repairs/Resizing
- Normal wear and tear damage is not covered under warranty and will be repaired at the client’s expense.
- Under the warranty, you are entitled to a complementary resize within the first 30 days from the date of purchase (in-store purchases only). Resizing for online purchases applies only if professional sizing assistance was received in-store prior to the purchase.
Ordering/Payment
- Orders placed online or in-store require full payment before dispatch.
- Custom-made designs require a 50% deposit before commencing work.
